OUR VALUES

At Hartlik we absolutely love linen and all other natural fibres. We love South Africa and choose to focus on all the beauty it entails. Doing our part in keeping our country clean.

Plastic is not just in packaging and food but also in textile.

Realizing synthetic fabrics can take up to 200 years to decompose and the fast fashion industries part in the landfill, at Hartlik we only start manufacturing after orders have been placed. 

We work slowly with good intention in our studio in Mpumalanga. Our aim is not just to eliminate excessive waste but also not to create more. 

OUR STORY

The anticipation of the birth of four little girls, close to us, was the unexpected birth of our soft, wash-and-wear linen range.

Knowing the health benefits of  pure linen and especially its gentleness on your skin, I made four Esther dresses, with custom name tags as a gift in 2021. They turned out to be lovely so other people wanted to order as well.

A small seed was planted and together with my daughter, mother of one of the girls, we started Hartlik. 

As a trained fashion designer, this was always a dream but the right season has only been now.
